Wedding preparation

The wedding is less than 2 months from now....my gosh!! I just realized that I am getting late to start my preparation. We haven't finalized the wedding album. We have yet engaged make-up artist, photographer & videographer. We haven't finished our guest list. How about the seating arrangement? The program schedule? Ooh.....

What about myself? All the skin-care, hair-care and diet plan! Haven't started...will I look good on my wedding day? All girls naturally worry about this, right?

Darling keeps saying there is nothing much to prepare. Is it supposed to be so easy to organize a wedding? Then why are some couples quarreling over wedding preparation?

I think I am going to lose sleep again...stressed!

Love Paradise

you're always on my mind
all day just all the time
you're everything to me
brightest star to let me see
you touch me in my dreams
we kiss in every scene
i pray to be with you
through rain and shiny days
i'll love you till i die
deep as sea wide as sky
the beauty of our love paints rainbows
everywhere we go
need you all my life
you're my hope you're my pride
in your arms i find my heaven
in your eyes my sea and sky
may life be our love paradise

His love, my love.

A lot of gals will get jealous when their partners spend more time on their interest than spending with them. I am different. I love what my darling loves. He's been in love with basketball since young. To be exaggerating, basketball is his first love and the love shall never die off. He was a great player when he was younger. He is still good even though his age is catching up. Lately, his team is partcipating in a basketball league and has appointed darling to be their coach. Darling is so serious about the coaching that he specially made this training board as his training tool. He improvised it from a magnetic chess set. Isn't this cute?

However, I think darling is cuter. His passion towards basketball has melted me, 10 years ago and so is now. I love his love for basketball. Of course, I love his love for me too. :)

Breathing Therapy

The nose has a left and a right side; we use both to inhale and exhale. Actually they are different; you would be able to feel the difference. The right side represents the sun, left side represents the moon.

During a headache, try to close your right nose and use your left nose to breathe. In about 5 mins, your headache will go.

If you feel tired, just reverse, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is refreshed.

Right side belongs to 'hot', so it gets heated up easily, left side belongs to 'cold'.

Most females breathe with their left noses, so they get "cooled off" faster. Most of the guys breathe with their right noses, they get worked up.

Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left or right? If left is faster, you will feel tired. So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refreshed quickly.

This can be taught to kids, but it is more effective when practiced by adults.

My friend used to have bad headaches and was always visiting the doctor. There was this period when he suffered headache literally every night, unable to study. He took painkillers, did not work. He decided to try out the breathing therapy here: closed his right nose and breathed through his left nose. In less than a week, his headaches were gone! He continued the exercise for one month. This alternative natural therapy without medication is something that he has experienced.

So, why not give it a try?

Cookyn with Mervyn

We had team outing yesterday. My colleague suggested a cooking session for the team. This was something different from normal team outing, so we gave it a trial. 'Cookyn with Mervyn' was recommended by Celeste whom I met at novena square while shopping there last weekend. She went for the cooking class and recommended it was good at a reasonable price.

I personally love cooking, so I enjoyed it very much. Some of my colleagues who never like cooking also had fun during the session. I guess a lot of people could never imagine cooking can be that easy.

We have learnt a full course with 3 dishes:

Appertizer - Steamed mussels done provencal-style

Main course - Roasted chicken leg stuffed with feta cheese served with mediterranean-style & olive oil rice with raisins

Dessert - Strawberry panna cotta

As a group of 9, we shared the loads for the food preparation & cooking. The most interesting part was when we stuffed and seasoned our own portion of chicken leg. It was a specialized dish that we made for ourselves as we could adjust the portion of cheese, herbs, pepper & salts according to our own preferences. Some prefer more cheese than another, some prefer it less salty etc. My chicken leg was sinful, cheesy & salty!! Haha...but I loved it! :p

It was a special experience for me to learn cooking with my colleagues. We sat down to appreciate the dishes after 1.5 hours of cooking. Hmm...yummy! I would definitely practise the dishes at home. Hubby will love the chicken for sure. I will also register for other classes with Mervyn in the future. :)

Time to say goodbye

Feeling sad. My boss has resigned. He is the boss whom I respect the most in my whole career life. A helpful boss who has rendered his fullest support to me during the past one year. Without him, I would not have become mentally strong. Without him, I would not be able to be a real SME banker within a year. I appreciate him very much. Since he has decided to move on for a bigger challenge, I wish him all the best. Till the time we meet again, hope we both achieve what we set for ourselves then. I look forward for another opportunity to work with him again. Boss, all the best!

iPhone 3GS

Not as excited as the first time. I changed my phone again, from iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS. There are slight enhancements on the latest version. It has video camera now. I haven't got time to explore other features yet. Anyway, iphone won't be wrong. It's the best phone! :)

I am who I am

Someone say I am smart as I know how to manipulate people. I know how to please people that are 'useful' to me by sending gifts to them. To a certain extent, I think presents are useful. But, put in a more appropriate way, those small gifts are tokens of my appreciation. I mean to thank people who have been of great help to me. This is life. Not everyone who knows you truly understand you. That's why we got this word called 'misunderstanding'. I won't bother to explain to anyone. For those who trust me, you will trust me. For those who don't, whatever! I don't really care how you think, serious!
