Langkawi - Day 2 - Part II

Day 2 - Part II

Our next destination was Seven Well Waterfall. This is locally known as Telaga Tujuh. It is about 480m to the top, approximately 15-20 mins climbing. For someone who do not exercise so regularly, this could be a challenge. :p

We were not too lucky that day. It started raining about 15 min after we reached the waterfall. It was too bad luck still as there was shelter built beside the waterfall. We were trapped in the rain for almost 2 hrs then. :( The rain had ruined our itinerary for the day. We cancelled the rest of the plan and headed back to hotel for shower and rest after that.

We had dinner at a Japanese restaurant near our hotel. It was run by a Japanese chef. My highest compliment went to the salmon sashimi. It was delicious. The salmon sashimi was literally melt in my mouth. The freshness...OMG!! Superb!!

We had good appetite for our dinner. 3 main course for two of us!! The portion was not small and the waitresses did come to us to verify our order twice. In the end, we finished our courses. The waitresses were amazed. Haha! Perhaps, people with joyous mood always have good appetite. Darling, thank you for all the arrangements for my 28th birthday. It was very very unforgetable. *sweet

Langkawi - Day 2 - Part I

Day 2 - Part I

Before beginning our intensive schedule of the day, we had a stroll and photo-taking session at the vicinity of the hotel after the sumptuous buffet breakfast.

We next departed for our first destination, Mat Cincang Mt, for cable car ride. Mat Cincang Mt is the 2nd highest mountain in langkawi.

The cable car route was quite steep. I didn't realise it until I was in the cable car. Quite fearful!

It was a long queue for the ride. Look at darling's face! Impatient look. Hehe..the weather was really hot then. Forgive him. :p

Finally, we were in the cabin. :)

I could still smile at this moment. As it rode higher, my eyes were full of tears. It was really scary if you could see how steep the route was.

This experience could be more unforgettable if the pedestrian bridge (photo below) was not closed for maintenance on that day. Imagine yourselves walking between the mountains at 700m above sea level. Thrilling & adventurous?

Look at these, he kissed the snake! Darling was such a bravo!! *applause

Haha...I was also not bad orh! I overcome my fear and gave it a try too. The once and only in my life!

Langkawi - Day 1

Destination: Langkawi Island, Malaysia
Date: 06-Sept-2007 to 08-Sept-2007

Day 1

Due to slight delay of our Air Asia flight, we reached Langkawi Airport around 6pm. We rented a car from the airport at a daily rate of RM50, after some bargaining of course! With the car, it truly made our traveling "free & easy". :p

As usual, most gals are not very good at reading maps. Therefore, the navigating task was rightfully passed to my dearest darling, Steve. Poor him had to drive and read the map concurrently while i was enjoying the fascinating sceneries. Was I lucky? Needless to say. Hehe..

We checked in the Awana Porto Malai Hotel around 7pm. After shower, we quickly went out to "hunt" for our dinner as we were extremely starving. The island was quite big. Despite the smooth traffic (because it was low season, we could hardly see cars on the roads), it still took us about 30 mins to reach the east side of the island - Kuah Town, where all the popular shopping malls are. We settled for our dinner first. By the time we finished it, most of the shops were closed. Quite a pity for a shopaholic like me! :(

On our way back, we stopped over at Sun Cafe for a short chill-out session., as suggested and insisted by darling. The ambience of the cafe was romantic and cosy. The waiters were rather friendly and service-oriented too. I didn't enjoy my mocktail, melon paradise, very much as it tasted a bit weird to me. I am not a melon lover. However, the cheesecake was quite delicious (reason?? i simply love cheese!!). A mug of Guinness Stout for darling, a smarter choice than mine. :p
